Honda Sport Touring Association (HSTA) is now Motorcycle Sport Touring Association (MSTA).

MSTA Formally known as the HSTA they are now the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association or MSTA. HSTA was an acronym for Honda Sport Touring Association which was formed in the early 80's by Honda V-4 owners who enjoyed touring on their sporty bikes. Nearly thirty years later a whole genre of motorcycling now calls itself "sport-touring" but back in the day, it was just some riders who liked going places on their sporty Sabre, Magna and VFR motorcycles. Today as an "all brands" organization it would be hard to name a modern motorcycle brand not represented within the membership. It is primarily for this reason that the name was recently changed to the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association. MSTA has grown to an international organization of over 1700 members. There are members in almost every state and even a few in other countries. MSTA prides itself on it's skilled riders, rigorous use of safety gear and safe riding practices.

The MSTA was founded in 1982 and is chartered by the American Motorcyclist Association. The MSTA originally chartered as the Honda Sport Touring Association (HSTA) but has recently changed it's name to reflect its true purpose as an association of motorcyclists that like to ride no matter the brand. The primary purpose of the club is to bring together riders whose focus is motorcycle sport touring regardless of type or brand of motorcycle. There are members throughout the US, Canada, and numerous foreign countries. Members range in age from late teens to late eighties, with a median age between 35 and 45, and include virtually all socioeconomic strata. The majority of members ride sport touring bikes.

When becoming a member you will be joining a truly outstanding group of motorcycle sport touring enthusiasts! You will find the membership to be comprised of others just like yourself who are looking for a quality motorcycling experience. The members tend to have an insatiable thirst for knowledge, love to take trips - long and short, enjoy spending time together discussing their favorite subject - motorcycles! But mostly, they love to ride, to go with a flair towards adventure - little luggage, a full gas tank, and some money in the wallet (You might want to throw in some twisty roads, and hills too). The MSTA is quite a dynamic organization, where Safety, Fun, Camaraderie, and Riding Skills Enhancement are values shared by all.

MSTA members consider themselves true enthusiasts and are often found riding when weaker souls are grounded by "bad weather". The club differs from some other groups in that most of its members don't care for riding in large groups and, once a destination has been selected, will split into twos and threes, each group selecting their own pace and routes. In addition to local gatherings in most states each month, many other activities, such as MSF rider courses, campouts, overnighters are regularly organized. There are several major national and regional events that take place each year. Highways, canyons or even off road - wherever or however, MSTA has members who do your kind of riding. They concentrate on safe, sane riding at The Pace - not fast, not slow, but just right. Interested in learning more about the MSTA click HERE to go to their web site. For the Florida MSTA go HERE.
