American Historical Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) announces replacement Ohio Off Road events.
Goodlettsville, TN (May 21, 2009) AHRMA has announced that it has secured replacement off road events for those lost due to the cancellation of the AHRMA events at Vintage Motorcycle Days.
These events will be held on July 17, 18 and 19, 2009 and will include Cross Country, Trials, Vintage Moto Cross and Post Vintage Moto Cross.
The events on July 17 will be held at the nearly 1500 acre Jeep Skool facility located in Windham, Ohio. Windham is located north west of Youngstown off Highway 80. The facility has on site RV camping with power hook ups and plenty of pit parking for our cross country and trials competitors and support staff. Pre entry cut off date for this event will be July 3, 2009. Post entry is allowed at this event, but pre entry is recommended.
The events on July 18 and 19 will be held at Smith Road Raceway in Medina, Ohio which is owned and managed by long time AHRMA member and racer, George Singler. The Vintage MX will run on Saturday the 18th and the Post Vintage MX will run on Sunday the 19th. Medina, Ohio is located east of Akron, Ohio and is located approximately 42 miles north of Mansfield, Ohio on Interstate 71. The track is approximately 4 miles from the interstate.
The Smith Road Raceway facility has been in operation for over thirty years and is set in a park like setting that has a full sprinkler system and a very vintage friendly layout with the ability to have a different Vintage and Post Vintage track each day.
Entries for the VMX and PVMX will be limited to 250 entries per day and will be pre-entry only. Pre-entry cut off for this event will be July 3, 2009. An entry form for this event will be in the June issue of Vintage Views.
A limited number of event t-shirts will be available for sale at the Smith Road Raceway on a first come, first served basis.
